Our Ethics

Our ethics are central to everything we do here at Vinesse Hair & Beauty, and our mission is to provide our clients with top quality services, whilst limiting our impact on the environment.
Below we have listed some of the things we do and use within our salon.

Tissues and Cotton Buds
Bamboo tissues and cotton buds
We use Cheeky Panda tissues and bamboo cotton buds.
Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world making it extremely renewable. It grows 30 times faster than trees, produces 30% more oxygen and absorbs 35% more carbon. They source Bamboo from SE China – because there’s so much of it! Bamboo grows wildly on vast mountains, and most of the harvested stuff goes to waste. Don’t worry, it’s not the same Bamboo the pandas chomp on! Naturally hypo-allergenic, with long, smooth fibres that trap fewer dust particles – perfect for sensitive skin. Unlike traditional paper production, the Bamboo needs no fertiliser, pesticides or any other chemical nasties.
Paper Not Foil
Paper not foil
We need to talk about the problem with foil...
The beauty industry is one of the largest producers of aluminium waste, with each salon using an average of 2km of tinfoil a month. Most of this ends up in landfill where it can take over 400 years to degrade. Paper Not Foil is the first truly sustainable alternative, with no toxic waste in production or disposal. Paper Not Foil is made from recycled industrial scraps and degrades with no toxic waste. Off-cuts are recycled at the mill. Only 1% of salons recycle their aluminium foils. Paper Not Foil can be both recycled and reused up to 3 times. The sustainable mineral paper uses 96% less energy to produce than aluminium, and no water is used in the manufacturing process. The chalk-like texture provides good grip to the hair, enhancing client comfort and increasing creativity in the salon.
Furnishings &Â Decorations
We furnish our salon with up-cycled wood or metal furniture. We even have vintage cinema seats in our waiting area! We also have plants dotted about to keep the air clean.
Candles
We get our candles from a company called Casa Angelica these really do smell beautiful with so many lovely frangrance's to choose from and are competely vegan, cruelty and toxic free.
Cleaning Products
We only use vegan, eco friendly cleaning products, including, Smol and BioD. We also make our own electrolysed water which is non toxic, this also means we can drastically reduce our plastic waste and is lab proven to kill & sanitise 99.9% of Germs, Viruses & Bacteria.
Kettle
We use a RediKettle to make our drinks, it comes with 5 temperature options so we can choose our perfect temperature! It also has unique thermal-insulated design which keeps the water hot for hours, which means we don't have to re-boil the water.
Tint Bowls, Brushes &Â Biodegradable Capes
We use 100% biodegradable and compostable capes for our technical services even our tint brushes and bowls are made from straw instead of plastic!
